Sharing Windows 7 Themes

This is a follow up article to my Creating Windows 7 Themes article.

Now that we have one or two of our own custom Themes made we can do a really neat thing with them and that is to share them. I am going to show you how to share Themes using my Animals example Theme that I made up, if you would like to download it just click here.

The first step is to go to the Personalize screen in the Control Panel. This can be done by either clicking Start, Control Panel then clicking Personalization or by right clicking the desktop and clicking Personalize. If you are using my example Theme then your Personalize screen should look something like this.

Under the My Themes section simply right click on the Theme that you would like to share and click on Save theme for sharing. A dialogue box asking you where you would like to save the theme comes up, just save it to your desired location and that's it your done, all you need to do now is email them to your friends or maybe post them on your blog.

To install a Theme is a really easy process, simply download the Theme that you want and click on it, it will auto install and the Theme will be applied automatically too.

Bonus Material

If you would like to get more Themes you can download some from Microsoft's website to do this either click get more themes online from the personalization screen or click here.

If you would like to download my example theme just click here.
